Build Your Business With AttitudeWrittenBy:General
Written By:C Viswanathan Strategy 1- Tell A Friend You can include a PS at the bottom of an email asking your prospect to forward the email on to any friends they think might be interested. That's an inexpensive way to implement this technique. Another way that I've used that would require the services of a web programmer is to include entry boxes on your Thank You page where your prospect can enter the names & email addresses of 1 to 3 friends. A very important thing to keep in mind is that you absolutely can not opt any friends entered directly into your list. What I recommend is to send those friends an email that allows them the chance to decide if they want to opt-in to your list. That way you're abiding by the anti-spam rules. If you're interested in using this Strategy 2 - Joint Ventures The way it works is you first need to find somebody that has a larger following in a related niche. Obviously this can't be a direct competitor but let me give an example. Let's say you do search engine marketing to optimize the amount of traffic that goes to peoples websites. If you can find established website creation companies that do not provide search engine marketing services for their clientele they would be a prime candidate for a joint venture. The next step is to negotiate an agreement of how to split the profits and also the expense of putting on your teleseminar. You should always weight the agreement in favor the JV partner since they are providing the audience for your teleseminar. That's ok, your still making some money but most importantly your building your list to monetize later when you promote future products & services. You can build your list in a hurry with joint ventures. Strategy 3 - Business Cards One thing that is overlooked by many business owners is utilizing the back of your business card to help grow your business. This is prime real estate that you need to take advantage of. You can include special offers such as referral fees that you'll pay out for anybody that finds you paying customers. You can include additional marketing copy also and include your website address to get potential prospects to visit you online and grow your business that way. A way to get your business cards in the hands of more people is to have friends or joint venture partners pass out your business cards to their customers. You can offer these friends or joint venture partners a referral fee for finding you business to give them some incentive to pass out your cards. Strategy 4 - Online Articles The more articles you publish online the more you will benefit so I highly recommend that you try to publish one a week if at all possible. One key is to keep your articles brief. You give people enough information to show them what you know and provide a link so they can find out more if they are interested. One last suggestion on writing online articles, don't be concerned about having perfect grammar. You can write conversationally and create very effective content and help build your list. Strategy 5 - Blog Posts A great way to let people know about your Blog posts is through social media websites such as Twitter which allows you to reach a lot of people that aren't on your list and lead them to your Blog which will increase your followers and Strategy 6 - Testimonials You should go to blogs or Facebook fan pages of people with a big following and give them a sincere testimonial and include the URL to your website at the end after your name. Invariably some of those followers will click on your link to find out more about you. Just to be clear don't just leave your link without giving a testimonial or you'll make it obvious as to what you're doing and you'll turn people off. Strategy 7 - Ethical Bribes No need to feel cheap for doing this. The biggest names in internet marketing do it and you should too. As long as the information is true and is of value you are actually helping the people that join your list by giving them an ethical bribe. Aazdak Alisimo writes about |
